Hi, anybody know of a a source for a highly swirly pickguard material similar to the lightshows or to the Danelectro dead on 67s?

It's a material called Rowlux.
You can buy it for 331 models at Winfield Vintage : www.winfieldvintage.com
though, they are pre-cut to fit 331 models.
Otherwise it comes in a giant roll. I'm not sure if the Danelectro stuff is exactly the same, but it does look similar.

Gene, cross-post your question in The Vibrola section ... the luthiers there should be able to help you source it (at least in a reasonable quantity!).

That would be me, and I sell it by the foot. PM me offline. It seems that "Winfield" has lowered his prices to match mine from their previous lofty level.
Incidentally, Rowlux makes about 40 different patterns and colors in translucent, opaque, and reflective versions. Just Google the brand name and you'll find somebody with an online color chart...
