Headstock change?
Headstock change?
Or just photographed from an odd angle?
This is a new 330/6 for sale here in the UK.
Compare with a 360/6 for sale at the same shop.
And another 330/6 at the same shop.

Re: Headstock change?
That's not a new one Rob - unless RIC has reverted to the big head and wide spaced tuners design. I sincerely hope not!

It must be.
It looks like the headstock on my 2004 BlueBoy.
It's a strange one though as GG usually have a photo of one of the actual guitars for sale.
Re: Headstock change?
I love the current headstock.

Guitar shops very rarely make the most of what they have in Rickenbackers - they are very photogenic.fireglo67 wrote:godber wrote:

Actual stock photos really work for me.

Thanks Ben!
I like most Ric headstocks, big and small, maybe apart from the early 80's one that was a sort of big rounded edge square.

Yes, everyone knows that Ric (tight, corner cutters that they are) went with the smaller headstocks to save money on paint.RIC_FACTORY wrote:Nope, no headstock changes since the last one several years back...

The exception is Olivia's Vintage which almost always has absolutely breath-taking and most extensive photos of the Rickenbackers it sells on eBay.godber wrote:... Guitar shops very rarely make the most of what they have in Rickenbackers - they are very photogenic. ....

Re: Headstock change?
We certainly try and make the most of them, couple of pics taken this morning at our "Santas Rickenbacker Corner"Guitar shops very rarely make the most of what they have in Rickenbackers - they are very photogenic.
I'm no photographer , and I can't get the hang of embedding the images either - so here is a link - any advice on embedding them welcome

Re: Headstock change?
Lots of stores who stock Rickenbackers have outdated images on their websites. And it just takes a few minutes to take a great picture onself. One of my dealers does it all the time with their Gibsons and Fenders. Their website looks 1994 but their pictures are awesome.

Re: Headstock change?
Yeah, we always take a photo as soon as the guitar comes in. It does't matter as much with say JG or MD (albeit we still do it), but if I was buying an MG or FG I would want to see the actual guitar. Its time consuming, but I think its appreciated
