i can't believe it ! my dad called from boston at 6:00 am here to tell me the good news. I fell in love with the Sox even before Rics ! Ever since I was six and they lost to the reds, I've never stopped hoping. The seven years in NYC were not easy to take either along the way. I even ran into a NYer in Paris the other day and said with the bravado that only they have, when I hinted that the Sox could surprise :"you betta keep prayin'".
Well on to the next round, and let's keep those fingers crossed and let's go Sox !

I gave up on them several times, like in 1978 and 1986 but I like what I see so far. I knew something was different in that first game, even though they lost they fought back and kept coming, unusual for the Sox when they are playing the Yankees. What happened to the Yankees is usually what happens to the Red Sox every year. The curse still ain't lifted until and if they win the series though.
