Ask Jason, he certainly got a lot of stuff in his when he did his mid-western trip in the fall of '09.woodyng wrote:...i think i can get plenty of gear in the 2006 prius...

Re: Bay Area (BARF, BARC ) again one of these days ?
Not to mention that he added stuff along the way. Big stuff, in one case!

Hi Paul!jingle_jangle wrote:I'll check on the one down the block from my house, this week...this would be super-convenient, as there's lots of parking, we can all walk to my house from the parking lot for breakfast and laffs, then set up at the venue and have some more laffs...
I'll check on date and price.
Anything confirmed yet? I can chip in some $$ if needed

I'm going to google sponge ball clown noses....
Looking forward to this!
Still April 21st, yes?
I'm wondering if I could get Smiling face down booked in the area that weekend; maybe band road trip. Now if I could just get at least one more of my bandmates to fork out the $ for a Rick....
Dave would buy a bass but he has no $. The only rick Jayme seemed to like was a 350 JL model. . . which is ridiculously expensive; he thinks my WB models feel like a giant wooden butterfly on his chest compared to his Gibson SG. . . .

There is no reason to ever be bored.
...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...

I hope so 'cause I'm getting all of the hotel reservations and other travel stuff set up now, everything planned around the 21st. If anything changes, I'm gonna need to know pretty soon...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

OK, just heard back from my venue. Good news and not-so good.
Not so good: Available date is Sunday, the 22nd, from 1:30 pm until 10:30 pm...they have a morning bluegrass club meeting.
Because it's Sunday, it's virtually free for me to rent, as I'm a local resident. We'll also be having the Waffle Club at my house for brunch. This venue is down the road from my house...literally a two-minute walk.
If we go to Saturday, we are in a tossup situation with another group; regardless of this, Saturday is EXPENSIVE and we would not be able to recover the cost among ourselves.
Venue has stage, parking for 40 cars, kitchen, tables, chairs, piano provided free. Here's a photo:
What say?

Sunday could work for me as I wasn't planning on leaving the area until Monday, though logistically (meaning changing the order of, a bit more driving to visit relatives) not quite as nice as Saturday...
