Emerald Green Guild Starfire

Post by octagon »

I found a really cool guitar at my local store,a 1966 Guild Starfire. It's a really nice guitar,a semi-hollow with good sustain and the Guild Mini humbuckers are great and the color is a beautiful Emerald Green. Click the thumbnails below to see larger pictures

Mitch Berger's Guitar Shopping Checklist:

1.) It is at his local shop or on eBay.

2.) Identical instrument has been used by a famous musical artist or appeared in a TV show or movie

3.) There are photos and/or YouTube videos available of famous artist playing said instrument or TV/movie appearance of the instrument in use.

Right on the money Collin. Mitch has a very unique Modus Operandi. :D

Very jealous of you, Mitch. Great score. Dave Davies loved the Guild Starfire, too, albeit version number III:

I used to work for a Guild dealer, and man, they sure made some nice stuff. They really seemed to have the player in mind, as you picked one up and immediately wanted to play a song on it, rather than just your standard guitar demo licks. Fine guitar there Mitch :D

Haha,no,actually I forgot to check before I bought this guitar. Fortunately I was able to confirm #2 and #3 after purchase.
