toaster pickup question

I recently installed a set of the new scatterwound pickups on my ric 360/12 and they test out at 6.5 and 6.3 ohms. I thought they were to be around 7.5 or some where in that area. Is this normal? They do sound killer. There a little on the bright side. I had em checked 3 times. Any input on this? Thanks Gary
