New Byrds cover - Set You Free This Time

Post by beatbyrd »

Hi, I tried to channel my inner Gene Clark on this one..... hopefully, I got close. It's the last song on the page at:

As always, constructive comments are welcome. Tom

Oh yeah, sorry about the midi keyboard 'harmonica'. It's all I had.
It's a Byrd, it's a playin'..........

I never would have noticed the midi keyboard harmonica if you hadn't spilled the beans. But I did notice that it sounded like it was being played cross harp which I thought was novel.

Nice work, as always, Tom. I think the vocals are excellent. My only suggestion is that you might want to dial in a little more of the 360/12. 8)

The one thing I love about your Byrds covers, Tom, is that you're a dead on Gene Clark. Good job as usual.

Ever thought about giving Dylan's "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" a go? That song seems like you'd do it beautifully. Without the harmonica, like the original demo.

Very fun and impressive to hear all of the tunes. A lot of work went into them!
