Just seeing this Josh... Prayin for a complete and speedy recovery! The loss of a pet member of the family is tough. My heart goes out to you all. When you are ready another pet will finds its way into you all's hearts! Hope your wife feels better soon!

She's limping around the house today, as it were. We're still sort of in "relieved mode" from finding out her lungs were clear but we have to be careful to take it slow with her recovery, as it is supposed to be a lengthy process. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers. I think I am seeing some improvement--she has a loose cough now which should work to clear the pleurisy faster. :) Luckily already had a nebulizer at home for albuterol which the doctor has encouraged her to use frequently during this time. It seems to have loosened her phlegm up. Sounds gross but she's well worth it! Main thing is just managing her pain until this subsides. Because I am relatively healthy I often don't realize how much she may be suffering until it gets to a breaking point. When you are taking care of someone you really have to pay attention the little details and signs.

I'm glad to hear Megan is improving. Just breathing hurts when a person has pleurisy. I can just imagine how intense the pain is when she coughs.
You never realize how good it is to feel good until you feel really bad.
I hope Megan continues to recover fully and quickly.

Thanks everyone. Her parents came out and are helping take care of her now, and for the past couple of days she's really started to seem more like herself so I really think she's coming along. :) Perhaps because of her access to a nebulizer, she seems to be getting better a little faster than the ER doc predicted.
