V83 and V86 should be together late this weekend. I do have plans to video them both together. They haven't been under the same roof since '58!

Great! Can you explain the different pickup configurations of V83 Please?
Switch in the middle is middle pickup only as said before, but what about the other switch positions? up and down?

Also noticed that this may be the same guitar In the photo with F.C Hall holding it, Not v81 as believed. The Picture is quite blurred so the grain doesn't really stand out but the curved grain on the horn seems to be there (albeit very faintly)

I was just comparing V83 to the same pic last night. Could very well be the same guitar. Maybe John Hall will post a hi resolution copy (hint hint). 8)

Now that you have it home, Which do you prefer V86 or V83? :lol:
