Any book with pictures of Rickenbacker basses is a good book so as a minimum reviews will start at "good" and can only go up from there.bassduke49 wrote:Wow, John, I hope my book justifies your kind review, however premature!

Well, 371 photos of Rick basses should make for a lot of happy readers, then!

Well, I've seen bits and pieces here over the past two years or so, and clearly you've been digging for the best images and some rare goodies. So, I'm confident in my prematuriality, as it were.bassduke49 wrote:Wow, John, I hope my book justifies your kind review, however premature!

Re: Book progress: The Checkerbound Flag
Just got word today that the total preorders among book buyers and Amazon is over one thousand. Initial press run will be 4000 (they tell me). Gee, how about 4001, or 4002, or . . . .
Had to make a couple more tweaks to the cover flaps, so what I showed before is no longer current. More later.

Actually, 4000 is fitting to commemorate the first Rickenbacker bass model number...the initial run!bassduke49 wrote:Just got word today that the total preorders among book buyers and Amazon is over one thousand. Initial press run will be 4000 (they tell me). Gee, how about 4001, or 4002, or . . . .
