Hello, this is my first posting.
I have a non-computer friend who has a Ricky Panda as follows:
Silver plates, tone and volume controls on opposite sides, 1 1/2" magnets, Serial No. C2210. I do not have a picture of it as yet.
Can somebody please nformation as to the date of this instrument. Thanks.

Silver plates, serial number and controls on opposite sides indicate a prewar instrument. Also, the back of the neck would have a slight curve near the body junction, as opposed to straight on the post war models. Not sure if a Panda tag applies with silver plates though.

I have to say I've never heard the term "Panda" applied to the BD Series but it seems entirely appropriate.

Thank you Joshua, Jeffrey, Ron and John all for your input and comments. Actully, I have a "Panda", but I forgot the Ricky about which I was asking has silver plates. It probably doesn't qualify to be termed a "Panda".
