Hold up...there is a Paco de Lucia-specific flamenco guitar subforum within a Rickenbacker forum? Geez.

I guy I knew in '74 gave me my first Paco LP; Pedro Jóse Ramirez Velasco was from Barcelona, and he had his dad send one as I liked the one Pedro played for me. I still have it.

Great story Jeff
Re: Bad News: Paco de Lucía pass away
For me, (like so many people) my journey began when I heard Paco play with Al on Al's solo album. My friends and I were blown away. I was a fan ever since and was lucky enough to see the "Trio" play live a few times. One time in NY (at the Beacon), Steve Morse was the warm-up and he came out at the end of the Trio's performance to play an encore with them. Superb!
RIP Paco!
RIP Paco!
Re: Bad News: Paco de Lucía pass away
...the other day I was playing some romantic tracks for my wife and I realized that I played "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" (with Bryan Adams and Paco) after I played a Bob Welch tune. Both of them are no longer with us...we are losing so many good people lately.
