Heard from John Hall about this guitar.

It is not a prototype but rather a one off.

"This is indeed a fully solid body guitar- and very heavy.

It is NOT a prototype, as there was never an intention to build another. It
WAS a special request and I had it built as a personal birthday gift to
Tom."
