Cheyenne strings

Post by The-Ox »

Hi

Do the Cheyenne use a particular set of strings, or do Ricks use the same flats on all basses? Was thinking of ordering a pair and putting them on another bass.

Would it get rid of the fret buzz? I never have any buzz on my cheyenne, but on my other bass I do

4004 models, as do all Rick basses, come stock with RIC roundwound strings, not flatwounds. IMHO, TI Jazz Flats are the way to go if you want flatwound strings on yours. I have used D'Addario Chromes (Super Soft) for many years along with the TI JFs on various basses; I have decided the TIs are worth the money as they sound the best IMO, have a wonderfully supple feel to them and they last so long that they are more cost effective in the long run.

Hope this helps.
