Yes I saw that too. Very cool!
I got my 1977 JG 320 back after a 17 year absence in 2010, during which it had been damaged in a fire. It is happily playable again, and I will never again part with it. So I love hearing about stories like the one described in this Rolling Stone article.
44 years! wow...
Some pics for the history of the thread...
There was a Billboard article last November with Fogerty and his sons. There are images of the guitar, but it has a normal TRC on it. Looks like the same guitar.

Re: A reunion, 44 yrs later
Brian, that Billboard 325 is not the same guitar as ACME. Look at the wood grain, body shape, chips in finish on original (including headstock top). It's some kind of tribute guitar.

Nice story! Excellent on stage photo in b/w ! Light coming from the front making nice contours . What ya think, Jeff?

Thanks Collin - I stand corrected. The big chip on one corner of the top pickguard is not on the tribute guitar. I should have spotted that.collin wrote:Brian, that Billboard 325 is not the same guitar as ACME. Look at the wood grain, body shape, chips in finish on original (including headstock top). It is good news that he got it back.
