Can't wait to get a 4004/5 with those new pickups! :) Almost pulled the trigger on a new S/5 but I'm gonna wait for the 4004/5.

I wholeheartedly agree. I'd like to find out whether the new pickups would fit my 4004Cii/5...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Bills music in Catonsville Maryland has 4004’s for sale and they ship. They have a website you can Google.

I'd like to find out whether the new pickups would fit my 4004Cii/5...
Maybe they will issue a recall to replace the pu's on those.

I'm sure they would, but you'd have to mount the pickups on something that would fit the original pickup route.

Not on the 24 January 2019 price list either. That's two years in a row.

Keep looking at the secondary market. They pop up once in a while.
