Re: 620 questions
Anyway, if anyone figures out anything wrong in the pictures (especially pots, caps and pups) I’ll be glad to hear it! Thanks! Oh
Re: 620 questions
If you feel uncomfortable with it, resolder it using the schematics on the Ric corporate site.

Hahaha great one!
Anyway my main preoccupation was to be sure the guitar itself was legit and ok.
Re: 620 questions
I think it's legit. Most rickenfakers are 330 or 360 models anyway
Re: 620 questions
Yeap, never heard of or seen a counterfeit 620, not even a picture

Does this 620 in Ruby look legit?Sérgio wrote:Yeap, never heard of or seen a counterfeit 620, not even a picture

Re: 620 questions
Man, those are SO ugly that I don't think that anyone who has actually seen a real Rickenbacker would mistake them for legit guitars.
Re: 620 questions
BTW, do your own 620s sound thicker and with a bit more mid range than, say, a classic SSS strat?
I am mainly a Fender Strat player and I get that impression.
The Fender has a clear treble that just can't be beaten, but the Ric sounds thicker, less shrill and with more "body", maybe because the High Gains are hotter than the average Fender SC.

Re: 620 questions
Depends what you mean - Fender Strat SSS 2 & 4 are super thin (and classic!). 1/3/5 positions have more punch than 2/4, and then the Rick will have possibly a little more punch and sustain due to the through neck.
Re: 620 questions
That’s for sure, it sustains deliciously
Re: 620 questions
I think that I have a picture of a modern-era 620 control set-up (back of the pick guard). I'll see if I can find it and post it, it might help.

Re: 620 questions
Sorry for it taking so long, but, for the record, here are a couple of pictures of a modern-era 620 wiring harness (no pickup connections).
I do have one with the pickups connected, but I woud need to resize it.

Cool! Thanks!
