Surprised Ric hasn't gone after them.

You'd have to define "gone after them." This is an Australian vendor selling obvious Chinese knock-offs. Not sure that RIC can do anything about that. They probably have enough trouble stopping them from entering the US and don't have much say in trade between two other countries.

From their web site, their address seems to be US based.

Ha! I saw the Australian dollar prices and figured that's where they were. So, now battle is joined! If the vendor really has inventory, let's see if Trumpy's so-called tariffs and trade war with China is just smoke and mirrors.

Oh, consarnit! I was out on their webpage just this morning, and I had my custom Ricky all picked out, but tonight, poof, webpage no longer exists!

If it was gone, it's back. Even has 24/7 support, you can chat with Christopher, Master Guitar Luthier at the moment.

Those guys are a regular 'Corporate' sponsor on a Canada-wide buy-sell online application. I'm not interested; I own a real Ric.

I've already been paying import fees on Chinese sourced Bourns pots that I use in some of my custom harnesses. I haven't raised my prices....yet, but if this BS keeps up I'll have to....

That one's been around for a while, Chickenbacker Standard, with options. I read someplace (here?) that Ric has no copyright current in AU, so they have become big clone resellers. Pitbull Guitars used to sell a clone to US market, but they dropped it off their lineup. Probably got a C&D letter. Logical Guitars of Canada still sells Chinese clones too, but they don't advertise the fact. I think it's illegal for them to ship to US, but legal to drive across the border and buy (one) 1 bass and come back across the border with it. Definitely whack-a-mole, and a losing battle, unfortunately.

These are so trashy. The bridge and hardware look so cheap to me.

At least the 70s Japanese copies put in some effort.
