Wasn't there some discussion somewhere (maybe not here) about RIC using a slightly creamy white binding lately?

My 2016 4003 is like a cream color. Of course, it may have been lighter in 2016.

I like when the binding ages, especially on Mapleglo. Natural finish guitars look like cutting boards to me when new.
I wouldn't want to reverse the aged look of mine.

Here's a pretty nice, if aged, cutting board!rickenbrother wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 10:04 pm I like when the binding ages, especially on Mapleglo. Natural finish guitars look like cutting boards to me when new.
BTW, if anyone has been wondering, yes, that door finally got refinished in 2017, along with a few other enhancements to the room, too.

Looks great, Jeff! We have a new Amish built dinning room set coming in a couple weeks that would fit right in there!jps wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 2:50 amHere's a pretty nice, if aged, cutting board!rickenbrother wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 10:04 pm I like when the binding ages, especially on Mapleglo. I think Jeff should have a custom Rick with white oak body wings, quarter-sawn white oak neck, and maybe a walnut fingeboard to keep it from getting too heavy!

That's the "wife". I've had that one forever. It's a keeper.
