Rickenbacker "Escorts"

I have recently found out that The Escorts used Rickenbackers in the early 1960s. While this research is still ongoing, it would seem that Mike Gregory played a Rose,Morris Model 1999 Fireglo and Terry Sylvester a Rose,Morris Model 1997 Fireglo. Terry went on to join The Hollies. I can't find any evidence that the Escots had hits in the UK or the US.
