I love everything about this bass, except the pickguard. The teardrop portion looks too big and it has that hump in it that they've had since '98.

I was just gonna post that Kevin. I'd go for white. Although I love tortoise, it's not an official Ric color :(

Stunning 4003 BTW!
I wish they'd do an upcharge model with the checkerboard binding. I know that it is easier to just say it than it is to implement it into production without adding a backlog but that is about the only thing that would entice me back into a new 4003 model.

I think this bass is gonna go for big money. I'm guessing at least $5000.00, probably much more. If I really wanted it, I sure wouldn't be putting any bids in early and I sure as heck wouldn't be talking about wanting it here or anywhere else. I'm just gonna sit back and watch the show.

So do I, but I'm in negotiations for another (or two), so the timing is bad for me.

Man; flame, checkers, glossy walnut, stripes, full-width inlays. Oh baby!

Let's see; . . . more than four hours, call a physician . . . 8)

That's beautiful!

And it's great to see the guys over at RIC having some fun with these experiments.

High five, RIC!

HONEST TO GOD, I HAVE BEEN DREAMING RIC WOULD DO SOMETHING EXACTLY LIKE THIS

Ohhhhhhh I hope it's a picture of things to come... three piece neck with walnut headstock wings is PERFECT *tears of joy*
