I think the Duck Dunn is the 44-60. Nut width is 1.5 like a jazz bass.

That's because Dunn put a Jazz Bass neck on his Precision, hence, the A nut.

I have only seen 5 string basses with 1 7/8" nuts (I have owned/own a few), that would feel too wide for comfort on a 4 string IMO.

Looks like Lakland will have to wait. I found an 82 P bass. at 8.5lbs, nut width 1.75, and priced around the same as a used Lakland. Seems like the move for now

Meanwhile, who do we know in Baltimore(actually Prince Frederick, MD)? I found a Lakland on CL but, I'm willing to bet the guy doesn't know how to ship.
