1 question. I purchased a 4001 in 2005 and I tried to register it today. However, I found out that it was registered back in 2000 by another owner. How do I get it registered in my account name since I now own the bass?

Hey Peter I sent you an Email to register my 07' 360 Jetglo.
The guitar is getting better everyday. It is my go to guitar.
I decided to sell some of my other guitars because my 360 is just well... frankly it's better.
It is by far the most gratifing guitar I've ever bought in tone, look, and feel.
Rickenbacker is building the finest instruments I've ever played and luckily I own one.

I emailed a registration for my 4001 some years ago, when I was not a registered user of the forum. The bass shows up in the register, but is not associated to me as a user. Can someone update the record to associate it with me? serial removed by admin, mapleglo 4001 (currently tagged incorrectly as a 4003 in the register)

Peter, do you register guitars identified through internet sales or just your own? The reason I thought of this is the growing trend for some people to buy Rickenbackers and disassemble them to sell for parts. It would be nice to see the original serial number of a jack plate and be able to identify which guitar it actually came from using the registry.

Justin: An interesting observation. Unlocking the mystery of where the jackplate originated depends on us having the serial in our database to begin with. To that end, however, this information may be useful for a number of reasons. Perhaps we could include a special jackplate only section of the Register or simply add it as collected information under a new heading. When Gil returns from his honeymoon I will take it up with him.
