Nice work Ronn.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Chris, unfortunately we have never been asked to play the awards show. Each year has an Austin or
Texas theme. Last year had a reunion of several Austin bands from the 80s, this year they had John Cale, and The Crickets. Anyway, a Beatles/Brit Invasion band doesn't really fit that format.
It's like any awards show, the MC introduces the catagory, then the winner, then we all walk out, each with a hot model on our arm. We accept our award then we each gave a thank-you speech, pause for photos then off. Then lots of free beer!
Voting is by mail-in ballot or internet. cut off was last day of January. I have never made the top-10 for bass player, very disappointing. Our drummer usually makes it in his catagory, and our keyboard player placed last year.
Taped the broadcast, gonna watch it later.

Chris you should go for it. In 1992 when I had the idea for the band I'd never heard of a tribute band, I just knew the 3 guys I started the band with(2 of them are still in the band and the 3rd is our soundman)and knew we all loved The Beatles and that it would be fun to play their music. We rehearsed for months before we got our first gig.

I will seriously consider it, Ronn.....I've been thinking about it for a good while.
It would indeed be fun to play this music on a regular basis with other like minds....
On those rare occasions when my two older brothers and I get together, we'll play lots of oldies, 60's and some '70's stuff, but invariably, we'll always finish up with Beatles music to end the evening....and these sessions are always most enjoyable at this point.....
We'll see how it pans out......THEN we'll have to come up with a name that hasn't been used a bajillion times already
