...a 4004/5Cii done up like a Shadow or Blackstar, has to have checkered binding, to make it even more unique, they would have full width crushed MOP fingerboard inlays...
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Joey....that's a pretty cool idea. The new modern Rickenbacker bass with features of the classic models. The best of the past meets the best of the future !

Maybe John is planning a limited edition "Forum Bass".....something special to commemorate this Forum like Ric did for Guitar Center. Well, I can dream.....

How about a solidbody bass based on the 4005 design?

How about a hollowbody bass based on the 4005 design?

Just call it a 4005V(pickayear)

Double bound, pleez.

We're also approaching the 50th anniversary of the Rickenbacker 4000 family of basses (first issued in 1957). Golden Anniversary -- hmm -- here's my dream:

Rick 4003 bass, non-yellowing white with vintage gold pickguard and TRC. Checker under white binding, vintage knobs, vintage pickups (toaster and horseshoe). 50th Anniversary design on pickguard. Simple, elegant, unique. I'll take two.

Geez, and all I was thinking about was a commemorative pick or set of strings.

A commemorative pick, something I've always dreamed about. Image

John, I'm thinking a "75th Anniversary Team" should be assembled. We can decide in a guitar. I'm thinking '57 Combo 800 in Montezuma Brown.....

Or maybe just a 75th anniversary truss rod cover :-)

Something...

Checkered inlays......

Free commemorative checkered strap with each guitar (I'd pay for one if it had 'Rickenbacker' on it!!).

Shirt sounds good, Steve - but not a T-shirt!! Got enough of them. How about something with a collar?

Actually I can;t really afford a new guitar right now, but it's fun to dream, and there's always tax returns from next year. . . .
