As I recall, there were two versions of this amp. One was very similar to the TR14 but one was an older Road design, made only during a transitional period. The latter had a CMOS digital chip in the audio circuit (!) which may have been innovative but wasn't very soundworthy. The former was the precursor to the RG15, which had a highly revised preamp compared to the TR14.

Pat, you did real good, especially if it's 100% functional.

And, it's built like a brick outhouse, too.

I should have done a search before I made a post about the 1985 Rickenbacker Road R-14 I just bought on ebay for $85(inflation!).I wonder if this is 1st or second of the 2 models that Mr Hall mentioned in the post above?

Given the magnet structure, I'd say CTS.

I'm not sure, but it could be old stock.

I can't read the numbers on the back of the speaker. One of them should be a manufacturer and date code, although this doesn't always hold true. Does one of the numbers start with 137...? This is the code for CTS and a speaker from 1970 (for example) would read 137045 (meaning a CTS from the 45th week of 1970). Jensen's code is 220 and Oxford is 465. You can check the Weber Speakers website for a complete list.

Looks like it is an Eminence speaker made in September 1984(67-8409).
