The System

Always loved "The System," but some questions arise every time I listen to it. First of all, I read somewhere that it was featured in a movie--which one? Secondly, and more importantly, I am having the hardest time figuring out some of the lyrics. For example: "Come on with the sweet talk, be moody and mean...." Then what? What IS he saying? Also, "So live for the moment, there'll be time to pay....." And? I know we have some lyrics experts out here. Can any of you help me?

SEARCHERS HAVE IN THIS MOVIE ? DID THEY JUST DO
THE THEME SONG OR DID THEY MAKE AN APPEARANCE IN
IT ?

RJHC: I have not seen the movie but understand that The Searchers appear in the movie as a band, go figure. Tim, where are you? We need the details.

No, The Searchers just played the theme song over the opening credits for this film.
The Searchers, as themselves, appeared in the movie "Saturday Night Out". They were featured playing in a Pub. The song they played was "Saints And Searchers"
