By the way, one of the "Ric chicks" I really admire is Mary Chapin Carpenter. Love her Blueburst 620/12.

Let's not forget Ms. Courtney Love (Cobain) :

Not only were the first few years of her music career spent using Rickenbacker 420/425/Electro models, she was quite a Rickenbacker supporter as well. She convinced Kurt Cobain to buy his first Rickenbacker, a MG 4003 bass- which he reportedly loved. Also, when she designed her "venus" sig. model with Fender, she claimed to have a "Rickenbacker feel" in the overall design while obviously being nowhere near a copy, which is obvious seeing the body shape.

Cheers,

A great link, Scotty. Thanks.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I don't have time to look for any pics right now, but I know that Wendy Melvoin, late of Prince and the Revolution, played a 330/6 in the Purple Rain movie. I think the guitar was, appropriately enough, purple. :D

I saw Purple Rain last week - that guitar's totally customized. Lipstick pickups w/surrounds, non-namplate TRC, stop tail etc. etc.
