Interested in a side tour of Philly during MARC?

Post by bassduke49 »

My wife, Dorothy, is interested in seeing the touristy sights in Philadelphia as part of our road trip to the Mid Atlantic Rickenbacker Confluence in April. As TV's "Monk" would say, "Here's the thing . . . " - I'm worried about parking for a day in the big city with a car load of Ricks, so I suggested to her that perhaps she can see the sights while I ogled guitars on Sat/Sun. Then we could drive back on Monday. Anyone else (or spouse/sigoth) interested in doing this?

A trip to Philly would not be complete without going to the Mutter Museum, http://www.collphyphil.org/mutter.asp, followed by a nice lunch with a cheesesteak & pierogies.

My wife will (more than likely) be coming with me. I'm sure she'd love to do a ladies day out.

Shari will be there, too.

You should do South St., some interesting shops and a great cheesesteak place. The art museum is quite an incredible place, we need to finish seeing the rest of it sometime.

If you are looking for something to do, try this.

Get your tickets now however. Chances are you will never see this again in your lifetime.

Dave, I saw it in 1977 in Los Angeles and I still talk about it (30 years ago??!!!) So you other guys should go! Tickets are hard to get and the impression will stay with you forever!
