Sure it wasnt "********", Dane? And are you sure we weren't referring to DP?
I've only stayed at two hotels in Santa Ana, so I'm not much of an authority. However, the Doubletree Club was ideal last year..... away from the swimming pool area and we could go and get our own grog when the bar closed. The hotel didn't have any problems with us carrying on 'till all hours. And there was no entertainment - apart from our own!!

No probs, Dane. My problem is usually all the unwanted characters I get while I'm typing during a 'private game'..... my backspace key takes a real hammering!!
My, you are a sneaky one, aren't you Joey??
There are lots of ways to play or change the game. The last 'drinker' can nominate the direction, the 'bottles' number and/or name (i.e. 'longnecks' or 'kegs' instead of 'bottles'), the starting number and ascending or descending. A player can pass a turn but must drink in lieu. You usually try all that sort of jazz at the beginning of a session because later on everybodys' minds are so sozzled they either pass or just forfeit their turn (hence the "********" in Dane's post) and drink. In fact, perhaps "********" should be used as the expression of forfeiture!

I'll have to get together with some of the guys here in Melb and sort out a possible trip over to so cal for one of the Confluence, that would be cool! Will have to have enough cash to pick up a RIC while there though
Brilliant, sounds great Howard! Lookin forward to it! Hehe just to let you guys know, I don't drink Alcohol

So? It's not a mandatory 'confluence' thing, Josh...... each to his/her own. 'Bottles' doesn't necessitate alcohol intake..... just a modicum of concentration and a sense of fun and cameraderie - that's what it's all about!
If you don't drink alcohol then you have more chance of picking up the major prize!
Makes mental note...... better think up a 'major prize' - quick!!

No, I was just kidding. Although I might trade it to Bruce and get my old 4-2-5 back. I'm going in a different direction for humbuckers. He is wondering about the neck on the 4004. Could I maybe trouble you to check it out, and maybe see how low the strings can go? Or maybe you scoped it out at the confl and know the straightness of the neck already. He likes it low, and that hump in the FG neck REALLY bothers him. I don't have an issue with the hump, since I don't care for low action.
