Groovy Beatles pictures
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Thanks ChuckEds! Great pics! I didn't know a second pup was added to George's 425...
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Yeah, that picture is about a year after he bought it, so sometime in between he had the second pickup and switch added, and a new pickguard made. He later gave it away. It's currently in the R&R Hall of Fame museum...
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Thanks! So, another pup was added and a pup selector switch. What's the other switch (that all 620s/625s have) besides the jack?
Boy, I think I saw it at the R'n'R Hall and never noticed the updates...

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
On a one pickup 425 maybe it was a tone selector switch? Anybody? It was originally Fire glo, he had it refinished black to match John's Ric. Supposedly he played it on I Want To Hold Your Hand.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
It's a toggle for tone selection. Not sure how the caps function, however...

Thanks for the George vids and all the great images. Sorry about the broken link. Here's another article on the subject. Hope it works!
