Pre-toaster, dearmond pickup info needed

Post by BobNelson »

Hi there,
I would love to find info on the Dearmond Pickup that Rickenbacker was using prior to the toaster top pickups. The pickup that can be found on the combo 400/450 guitars.
Actually, if I could find an example of that pickup to buy, that would be best, but second best would be if anyone knows how the pickup was designed on the inside. How were the magnets affixed, what size magnets, what kind of bobbin design, dimensions of the bobbin, even wire size. Any info regarding these pickups, or one for sale (working or not) would be amazing.
Thanks bunches!

Doesn't look like anyone knows so far. I suggest to post at the Ampage pickup forum as there are a lot of knowledgeable cats there who may have an answer for you.
