The Bassist With The Most Effects
The Bassist With The Most Effects
In listening to a number of Chris Squire recordings recently, it seems that Squires' stable of effects seems almost endless. Are there any other bassists that have used effects in such a diverse way as Chris Squire?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Bootsy Collins comes immediately to mind.

alphonse johnson was using pretty diverse processing for his sounds in weather report, but i think chris's use of effects tends to stand out a lot, because his bass parts are an equally important facet of the yes orchestra....not a fade into the woodworks player....

Entwistle.
Re: The Bassist With The Most Effects
Chris uses plenty of different effects but it seems never more than two at the same time. This keeps the sound fresh and stops that muddy blur.............
