Of course! It's pretty much mandatory for us to have one when there's an out-of town/visiting fellow forum member in the area! :D

That is a X-Red 4004Cii that Dane bought from John Biscuti. Dane turned it into sort of a 4004CiiV63.
At first I hated that he blocked alot of the nice wood with a pickguard, but like all Dane's other modifications, they just grow on me and I can't help but like them. That bass plays and sounds excellent too!

Great photos, Gary. :D Too bad there had to be music stands on stage blocking the view. Perhaps, telepromters next time?

I really like that bass!!! It looks, plays and sounds fantastic! It also has a HUGE tonal range. Thanks for letting me play it on a few numbers Dane. :D

Maybe you could coordinate with a couple of your fellow Bay Area forumites and road trip it! :D

I sang myself hoarse at the minicon; I'm not used to singing lead vocal at all, and over the course of 8 hours, I sang lead quite a bit!

Rich, we forgot to play Greg Kihn's "Breakup Song"! That's a good one! Oh well, like I said, at this minicon, folks were more prepared, and we ran out of studio time bvefore we ran out of songs...I wonder if I could get Red Bull, Monster, or 5 hour energy to sponsor us?!

I hope you can make the next one Jerry! July 25th, everyone mark their calendars!

Oh, get this; yesterday I bumped into my pal Paul Sakry, one of the "singing drummers" at the bank. How random was that?! :D He said he really appreciated the compliments and enjoyed looking at the pics and the posts here on the RRF. :D

Thanks for posting some more pics Gary...we should expand the surf set; I know someone who doesn't know a lot of other type numbers but knows surf music. :D

Yeah, it's either music stands, telepromters or we get 20+ Forumites to all learn the same 80 songs by heart :? and know the lyrics LOL and that the Chorus is different chords than the Bridge
More Practice sessions before the next Mini Con ?

A vehicle? Don't you live on a boat? You could just sail down to So. Cal.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
