I was Looking on line and I noticed that there are Two types on Vox python. I have the Newer one I geuss, with Two slots at the end to put the metal KNob in. I saw on line This one with only One Slot?

That 325V63 belongs to a member of ours, Tuck Hersey, better known as Mendips. I'm guessing he might have cut his Python strap, as that's what I did with one I owned (and gave away to friend who was in need of a good strap, as I had no appropriate guitar/bass to go with it and he did).

But what's the point of Cutting it?

Except my own mistakes, by definition...

It seems to me that that strap would be for someone much thinner than I am and would put the guitar very high on the chest. I know the Beatles wore their guitars high, but not under their chins

Is that a real python? The one I have gets thinner at both ends.

It's real, he just cut off the tail end.

The original re-issue of the Python back on the late 90's, was a exact repro of the original 60's ones, in the correct length, which puts a 325 in a pretty good playing position with room for adjustment up or down. All subsequent Python re-issues to this time have been made longer to try and accomodate those who like their guitar in the now more fashionable low playing position. You'll be lucky to find one of the original release correct Pythons.

Another vintage leather strap for Rickenbacker is the vintage Moddy´s straps.

I had an original Python strap back in the '60's--I used it on a Vox Phantom XII, and I used to sling it at about hip level! Well, I was 16, and I could stand up to play back then--that was the only way I could get that guitar to balance. Anyway--my old strap had metal studs on the narrow end sections, and the metal plates on the center section went the full length of the section. Looks like they've eliminated some of the metal trim on the reissue.
