What I'd like to know is when JB switched from right-hand to left-hand!

Sounds good guys. I like the sound of mandolins, but other than scrubbing my way through two or three chords, I just don't have a feel for them. My little brother has a pile of them though - two 5002s, a Godin, a couple Epi Mandobirds (very cool for the price, once your tech is done making them playable) and a bunch of custom-built Manns. Once in a while he stops in and I practice making loud horrible noises on them. His latest one is some sort of 8-string baritone that Mann built him that has octave strings. I'm looking forward to hearing it next time he stops in. Mann has some pretty cool sound samples of 4, 5 and 8-stringed electrics and 8-stringed acoustics on his website. I really like both the look and sound of the black-top F7 at the bottom of the page.
