Err, thanks, Jeff, for guiding me to John's explanation. I got crossed up on who was "speaking."

Hey everyone. What a long strange trip... ah sorry, I couldn't resist...

So let's see, I think when I last posted, I was leaving Newport News VA. I had a great time in Winchester with great friends there. Got to see Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and of course, the Tater Hill Tavern and Nancy Shepherd House Inn!

Then it was off to Bucks Co, PA to hang out with a famous race car driver I know. Cruised the strip in New Hope and got mad props from the numerous gawkers. Earned my stay by playing a rusty rendition of Firth of Fifth on piano! Also recorded a B-3 track for the album at the Vault.

Next was Staten Island. Biscuti knocked out the banjo and upright bass tracks for a bluegrass song I wrote and recorded 12-string and mandolin tracks for at the Nancy Shepherd House in Winchester. JB is a pro, as if you all didn't know. We had dinner at the Cargo Cafe (apparently Trotty has been there, but that didn't stop me! :) ) We played at the open mic at Martini Red just down the street and JB backed me up on his famous v68 bass. Did two brand spankin' new originals, forgot some words, then rocked Mr. Tambourine Man as an encore. Enjoyed an evening at the delightfully trashy Staten Island Hotel, then on to...

Princeton, NJ for lunch with Bob Belloff. After over ten years, we finally got to meet in person! That was very cool.

Then an afternoon at POTR, before heading off to Sellersville PA to see Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek) open up for the Infamous Stringdusters. Sara is totally awesome. I'm in love. Again. Dang. Spent the night at the John Kindig House, then off to

Pittsburgh PA for a sandwich at Primanti Bros., and now I'm at Jeff's in Cleveland for a couple nights. Thanks again to all those who have taken time to welcome me and show me the best hospitality in the world! Tonight - Jean luc Ponty, tomorrow, Micrio!

Kevin Kuney and myself tried to get J dog to meet up with us in Lansing at Elderly yesterday, but J Dog couldn't make it. So I thought I would post a few pics of what J Dog missed. Since I know J Dog also is into PRS guitars there are a few photos of part of their stock that was on the floor, but first the acoustics. As you will notice there are a few Martins.

The Martin 12 sting with the black headstock in front on the left is the David Crosby signature guitar. What a great player it is!

Ken: Thanks for the great photos. A fine inventory.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Yes indeed. I am like a kid in candy store when I go in there. There was also 4 Ricks in stock when we got there that I didn't photograph. There was only three when we left :!:
The only thing missing in these pics is J Dog. Actually there is another room with more acoustics, a number of twelves, mandolins, and uke's that I didn't photograph. I didn't photograph any of the Fenders and other electrics either.

Ken, while in Cleveland we went to Heights Guitars, a cool store very close to my house. Jdog got to check out and play a 1937 (IIRC) Martin! I will let him tell you what he bought there. 8)
