+1 on the kudos for Paul. I could only stay for a couple of hours, but I'm very glad I could get to my first mincon. With any luck, I'll get to stay longer at the next one. Thanks, Joey, for the use of your bass for a couple of tunes. I haven't 'gigged' since 1984 and the rust was very apparent. Good incentive for me to actually learn some songs for the next one. My 'band' consists of me layering drums, bass, guitars, keys, and vocals down on a multitrack DAW. It's rare that I even have to play a song all the way through. Thank God for punch-ins.
Any lurkers or newbies that haven't attended a RIC get together; do yourself a favor and get to one! Great folks, great music, and great guitars (can't speak for the pizza - couldn't stay to enjoy it).
Thanks again for an enjoyable afternoon. See you at the next one.
Once again, THANKS PAUL!!! Low key and fun. Joey's 4001FL - well,..... hot fruggun dayum!!! That thing puts out MWAH up to 11! With flats, nonetheless.
It was a fun day, nice to see everyone.
Thanks Paulie for getting it organized
Special thanks to Steve for making that long drive and for the pizza!
I think Scott really liked the 4001FL!
Sorry, I have no pictures from this minicon. I just bought a brand new memory card for my camera. I put it in my camera for the first time at the studio...and it's defective!! Didn't think I'd need to take my other one.
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!
Thanks for the kind words, Paul. Hunt and peck is my standard operating procedure on a keyboard (PC or piano), but I have no excuse for it on a bass guitar! I'll know some tunes front to back for the next one. I truly haven't played with a group in a quarter of a century. Holy ****, that sounds SCARY to me when put in those words!
I'm gonna check MF tomorrow to see if Vox makes walkers like their old amp stands..........
Thanks again for the pleasure of meeting all of you.
