Steve, you want the "Lips Like Sugar" by Echo and the Bunnymen chart. :) I have the lyrics and chord chart-made it myself. :)
Yeah, that's the song! I have a version done by Seal on one of his CD's. PM on it's way.
The Seal cover version was used in the movie 50 First Dates :)

Here's a link to te Bunnymen's music video of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZUAK61hhJo

No exact headcount yet; some replies in the affirmative, mixed in with a lot of wisecracking! :)

I'll send out an email to all the locals today and see if we can get a more accurate headcount; Our drummer friends Paul S, Greg, Alberto, as well as Adam from Vito's band (Vito and his singer will be there-thank goodness-I'm not used to singing as much as I do at the jams), have all said they'd be there, so we'll have drums, and "Beatbyrd" Tom will be playing some bass, along with Joey and Scott. Scott's band Progknowsys will be making an appearance; I know it's a Rick jam, but don't anyone start throwing anything when he pulls out his PRS for a couple of numbers. :D

I've also been in touch with a My Space Friend Aimee, who has a group that does original 60s pop numbers, and plays a Rick. she and her Rick bass playing brother might be making an appearance as well. :)

In addition to all of the usual gear and refreshments, I'll be bringing some electrical tape, stencil, and scissors so we can apply instant sideburns to our faces for the Elvis numbers. ;)

That's half the fun ... all the joking around and play on words before the Mini Con

Steve -- I e-mailed you for receiving the music chart downloads. Many thanks

Giving this Graham Jam thread a little B U M P here .....

Was wondering if any of you local SoCal RRF-ers were thinking, perhaps, of getting together :) for a little warming-up, Pre Jam Practice session (or two) before things start getting busy here in January, to figure out which chords particular tunes are played in or if the Chorus goes before the Bridge or vice-versa, etc. ?? Or for those aching to try out any new Rics, amps or other gear you received for Christmas  !!!

[Of course this is posted with all the usual disclaimers and apologies etc. aforehand, for those who may be philosophically oppossed :? to the concept of jamming for a jam .....  ]

I know a lot of those. It's going to be impossible for me to jam during the week though; first week of regular classes at law school.
