Hmmm....

Ain't no cure for the summertime blues, except for a post NAMM Graham Jam!

I promise not to bring any Halloween candy if I'm invited

Let me know the set list (so I can start practicing now) and if anyone has tab for "Sugar Kisses", I'd appreciate a copy.

Back to reality ... I have tabs for the following 1950s-ish songs:

We Belong Together - Richie Valens
His Latest Flame - Elvis Presley
Peggy Sue - Buddy Holly

I also have the songs themselves on CD.

His Latest Flame is really drums, guitar (acoustic in the original), and bass ... I can sing it if someone else learns the guitar part. I can also sing Peggy Sue ... but I don't think I can sing We Belong Together (IIRC it's capoed on the third fret, so it's a bit high for my voice).

My band used to cover His Latest Flame, cool song.
Think It Over, Modern Don Juan by Buddy Holly.
No Other Baby (Vipers, Macca, and others).

Tons o' stuff that's just three chords, no need to learn in advance!

The more three chord songs the better!

My guideline for attempting a song is, "can I play this when I'm drunk"? Always good, and keeps the quantity of chords involved down, lessening the chances for mid song trainwrecks during jam sessions. ;)

Steve, you want the "Lips Like Sugar" by Echo and the Bunnymen chart. :) I have the lyrics and chord chart-made it myself. :)

I was in an Elvis tribute band in the early '80's.
I remember the bass part for that song. Very simple.

Yeah, that's the song! I have a version done by Seal on one of his CD's. PM on it's way.
