Nice pictures. :)
Is it very safe to transport your Rics around in that chilly climate on the North Cape or do you have to spend hours letting the instruments adjust to the inside temperature and humidity, once you move them indoors ?

It was a travel by ship up the coast from Bergen until Kirkenes then turnaround and back to Trondheim. Of course I didn't take a guitar with me just the T-shirt as a symbol to remind me of my babies at home ...

To all photografic interested here, especially Jeffrey Scott ?

This email I received recently. Mr. Cohen, an astronomic professor from Gainsville, Florida, was on the same ship we travelled to northcape. He made some fantastic Northern light pics.Check out the link below, it was like this, just incredible !
Enjoy !
Dear MS Nordlys Travelers,

Several of you asked if I could send some photos I took of the Northern Lights during our 2010 March Norway coastal cruise on the MS Nordlys.

Sorry for not sending these sooner but I had other trips and obligations that caused this delay. Also it took time to select and process photos that were not too badly blurred by the rolling motion of the ship or the strong (and cold) wind!

I have posted eight of these pictures on a web page. (I may add a few more in the coming months.) I hope they will add to your wonderful memories of our exceptional cruise:

Jeff, Rich - you're welcome !
That professor was quite a cool chap with a SLR Canon equipment which you have to pay for a few bucks more - with big and fast lenses  . You can check his site with a lot more of spectacular pics - eclipses and stuff like that.
Maybe he grew up with Tom Petty in Gainesville, I should ask him
