The band initially formed in 1959 as Tom and the Tornadoes, with the then only 12-year-old [Tommy Jackson] as lead singer in Niles, Michigan.

Nice, yeah----TJ&Shondell's were just an amazing band.
They're one of those rare groups that just had the ability to write catchy, memorable pop songs. I remember being completely surprised when I realized all those songs were by the same band. They all sound so different, but were all huge hits.

I always liked the Steel Guitar solo in the "long" version of Crimson & Clover.
