They started as a surf band but as eras changed so did the band. When this tune came out it was playing everywhere you went on the strip.
Where Ya Gonna Go
Re: Where Ya Gonna Go
Back in the '60s I had a friend who absolutely loved that tune. We stopped at his house for a few beers after work one day. He turned on his radio and, after a few more beers, "Hey Joe" started playing.
One of the DJs on that particular station had a bad habit of talking over the last 30 seconds of the tunes he spun. Well, he was the one spinning "Hey Joe" and, as usual, started in with his inane patter. My friend flipped out, called the radio station and laid into that guy like there was no tomorrow.
Every single time I hear "Hey Joe" I can still see my compadre's face, all red, veins popping and eyes bugging out!
