Beautiful!
An interesting reworking of the old spiritual "All My Trials", perhaps best known as the 3rd part of Mickey Newbury's "American Trilogy", made famous by Elvis Presley.
This to me is the real Searchers sound.
(This triggers another thought - Roy, did the Searchers to your knowledge ever do any [other] Mickey Newbury songs? their styles seem to fit, to me.)

Thank you so much, Roy! There is nothing sweeter than Mike and Chris singing harmony. This song is on my top ten Searchers songs. It's so very touching. I love the pictures you put with it, too! Totally perfect!

Love this song, plus the other folk-rock songs the searchers did :-
where have all the flowers gone
what have they done to the rain
and especially four strong winds - Fantastic!!!

I agree -- the "hootenanny" music, as Chris described the folk music of that time (and he was accurate), was beautifully suited to The Searchers harmony. Do you notice in 4 Strong Winds, the non-harmony parts are sung separately by Chris and Mike? This YT'er is a Searchers fan, and does a nice job of putting their music to nice pix -- Enjoy! :)

Roy

I like the sound of that. Hope they play them when I go see them later on this year.

That is wonderful news!! I'll tell my friend, Gary -- I know he is going to see "them" in March. I don't which "THEM", I don't think he knows which "THEM" he is seeing and doesn't care!

Searchers fans -- loyal to all of them! :D

Roy,

All he said...

"Hi Cheri, the earliest i'll see either Mike, or Frank's mob, will be March 2011. I am not going to Pontins this year."

Mysterious..... :?
