The Last Track

Post by royclough »

This was last track to feature Mike Pender on lead vocal in terms of single releases.

The accompanying notes on video explain why.

Mike did record 4/5 more tracks with the band these were for a propsed album but record comapnya ditched the project, I have posted 2/3 of this on the video channel

Imo easilly the best of the PRT songs! A Pender/Allen/McNally composition. Great guitar sound and strong vocals. Would have suited well on any of the Sire LPs!

(And- as I was tour racing on bicycle in Sweden this weekend: Although I don't love it- New Heart from the same PRT session was rolling in my head for quite a few kilometers! Thanks to Roy who brought it up in the Forum recently. Music has its ways!)

Roy, thank you for posting this song. I am sooo loving the jingle jangle of it, and it has a lovely melody!! And, of course, as we come to expect The Searchers to have the best harmony on the planet!
