TR25 impedance question

Post by casinoman »

Hello,

from what I have learned, the TR25 sports a 16 ohms speaker. Does anyone know if the jack for the external speaker is also 16 ohms? Thanks for your help,

ok looking at the schematics i can't figure it out ...so if you have factory speaker and it is 16 ohms - i would crack the amp case open and follow the money... than you can see if it is parallel or serial for the second output...or call/email rickenbacker customer service :)
i bet it is either parallel hookup - or the internal speaker off ...serial doesn't make much sense - increasing the load would decrease the performance of the power amp...
