Oh, and that Mary Kaye had the GREATEST v-neck ever!

I came home with this beauty (or "pregnant duck", as one Fender employee likened it):

Great looking guitar! I'm glad I'm nowhere near these shows as I'd buy such a thing right there, too!

Thanks! It is a little rough, but I've got lots of love to give. :)

That LP is unique and impeccably captures the feel of 1960 and thereabouts. Random yet dignified. Wow!

The "gaggle of basses" photo shows the new, 360-style, 660/12!

Anybody know the story on that weird (horny?) 450/12 pickguard? I asked the seller whether it was a factory oddity or just the usual previous owner-related dementia and the only answer I got was "I hate that guitar".

Sunday afternoon, and I hear "Chris Good, please come to the Pick of the Ricks booth" over the intercom, and I'm thinking "I've won! I've won...something!!". You can imagine the glee. Anyways, I rush over and there's Chris waving my forgotten credit card at me.

The back story. Chris asked a couple of us to keep an eye out for you, to no avail. I asked Chris if I should ask for an announcement to be made. He said go for it. I walked to the front desk....

Me - Chris from Pick of the Ricks would like to make an announcement to have a customer Chris Good return to his booth.
Desk Guy - I know Chris, is he still here?
Me - I don't know? We haven't seen him for awhile.
Desk Guy - Is he at the the booth?
Me - No he was there earlier and left his credit card.
Desk Guy - Is he coming back?
Me - I don't know. Can we make an announcement?
Desk Guy - Sure. What do you want to say?
Me - Chris from Pick of the Ricks would like Chris Good to return the booth.
Desk Guy - Is he there now?
Me - Which one? (now realizing he is confused)
Desk Guy - Chris
Me - Which one?
Desk Guy - The one you want to come to the booth.
Me - No, if the customer was at the booth I wouldn't have to announce that I want him to return to the booth.
Desk Guy - Oh. So who do you want?
Me - The customer Chris Good to return the Pick of the Rick booth.
Desk Guy - Oh that's easy. Your attention please....

Hilarious! That's worthy of Abbott & Costello or Fawlty Towers

Well Todd, many thanks for your part in getting the card back to me, despite the ordeal!
