Here's a cool number for the next jam that would expand our jam list to include songs from within the last 21 years of pop music! I think it has all of the ingredients we're looking for: 3-5 chords max, sing song-y, easy to follow, and (sometimes)played with a Rickenbacker(12 string, at least in this live clip!)

I know at least two of our long-suffering drummers would like to include some more current numbers at the jams, based on a couple of conversations at SCARF. :D

If Vito and any of his other band mates can make it, then we'll have some folks who know songs from within the last decade. :D

Okay. :D How about "Cryin' Waitin' Hopin'"

About SCARF-I don't want to give the impression that the event was anything but a success, or that any of the organizers and coordinators weren't great, it's just that I'm a perfectionist-any criticism is self-directed-I'll stop now!    The event was a lot of fun, and there was a whole lotta jamming that went on, which is a good thing. :D Everyone's probably already busy for the holidays, but interested parties, please check your schedules and post so we can get a reasonably accurate headcount. :)

Thank you, Paulie! You, Rich and I along with the help of Scott, Ross and few others did a fine job organizing SCARF/Ricktoberfest.
As Paulie has asked, please respond ASAP. We'd really like to have the next jam at the Blue Cafe' if enough people would. They have a slammin' PA! ImageImage
Would be worth having the jam there!

How's about starting with a potential list of the Out-of-Town RRF-ers attending NAMM, who'll hang around for the Post-NAMM Jam ? Jeff, Kenny, etc. ??

By the way -- cool Smilies there on that Posting, Joey ! :D

Paulie
I would be willing to play any music from the last 21 years that I felt had advanced the state of the art. Unfortunately, there is none. That's not to say some of it isn't very good. It's just not as good as that that has gone before it, and a lot of it is ****.
That said, I will play anything with you that you want to play because I know you have good taste!

Since there's nothing much doin' but crickets chirping in here, I might throw a bit of a different idea on the behind the scenes burner for the next mini-con, whenever that might be.

So what is the "Blue Cafe"? A new venue besides Backline Rehearsal and the Starting Gate? Where is it located?

It would be great to see the Shamus Twins perform! How bout the Byrd's Collective, too?
