Now if they would just expand Man In A White Car......woodyng wrote:one of the song fragments i heard sounded familiar,so i checked my reissued "adventures in modern recording' cd by the Buggles, and it appears Yes is also including another buggles tune called "riding a tide". that song, along with "fly from here" were not on the original album, but were included on the reissue cd along with numerous other tracks. it sounds like they are keeping somewhat close to the original arrangements, albeit with a clankier bass sound.

I'll never forget them opening with Does It Really Happen, and there's CS with his.... THUNDERBIRD! LOL! Back then I thought it was nothing but the Ric.... He used a number of basses that night. T-bird, Jazz, Electra, Ranney, and of course the RM.

Reminds me a bit of Renaissance from Azure D'Or.

Re: New YES Album.."Fly From Here"
considering that this was the song that the buggles wrote for and presented to Yes years ago, very fitting! i have been wondering how Benoit's voice was going to sound on a studio recording-i think he and Chris sound really marvelous together. i have been listening to this back-to-back with the buggles version, the arrangement is really very close, only with all the trademark sounds of the Yes players, and a little less of Geoff in the mix. (real drums are a nice improvement over the original, too!) looking forward to hearing the total opus magnum in July!
Re: New YES Album.."Fly From Here"
I had goose bumps while listening to the excerpt of Fly from Here this morning. Reminds me of the DRAMA period so much !!!!
Wow, this is going to be good and Chris Squire tone again...... What else can I say: Marvelous !!!!!
Can't wait to get my hands on the album in July !

Re: New YES Album.."Fly From Here"
Wiki claims that it's had it's Japanese release (release) already. Has anyone here heard it?
