What kind of bakelite is the guy who starts with an electro-mandoline playing?
Is this a PremierVox Electro (Model B)? :?:

Come-on people, forget for a second how much your wife, girlfriend & dog love House

Someone managed to upload a video of yesterday's german tv performance - totally out of synch!
There's some better views of the bakelite. Interesting sound!

I thought this kind of bakelite guitar was only produced by Electro Strings?

Looks like a Yanuziello. Very nice guitars and electric mandolins, based on the look of Harmony guitars. Uses Fralin pups on some models.

Yeah, after I posted that I wondered what Bakelite you were talking about, because what I saw focused on was the other player! Now I see I needed to watch first vid to about 2:32 to spot it - had I watched the whole thing I would have realized my goof.

It's better visible in the 2nd of half of the 2nd video.

Surely somebody must have some knowledge of (prewar?) spanish models and maybe guitars that are alike on this site?

Since when has Hugh Laurie been fronting a band? He should co-headline a show with Tim Robbins in a mid-life crisis double header.

He's been a part of The Band From TV since 06. Granted he's not the leader of that band but he's a great piano player. This is to promote his solo album I think.

Yeah, this song is from his solo album. It's nothing exciting, but it's okay.

Still, nobody have any idea if this is a real Rickenbacher bakelite spanish Model B?

Hugh Laurie is also on the cover of the most recent Guitar Aficionado magazine, for those that read about the rich, famous and musical. He's a pretty decent author too as his novel The Gun Seller was very entertaining.
